Welcome to Kyoto

The 4th International Mass Spectrometry Imaging Society (IMSIS 4) aims to provide a forum for discussion on the technological development and applications of mass spectrometry imaging (MSI).

As this is the first time the conference will be held in Asia, we expect 200 to 250 participants not only from Europe and the United States but also from Asia and Oceania. At IMSIS 2026, cutting-edge research findings will undoubtedly be presented.

In addition to sessions on new MSI technologies and medical applications, we plan to hold specialized sessions related to plants, food, and microorganisms.

"We expect this event to serve as a platform for deepening discussions, anticipating the future development of MSI across various fields. We believe this inaugural IMSIS in Japan will offer hot topics of interest to MSI researchers from diverse disciplines."
